Swain Brook Campground

  • Reservations are recommended for Holiday weekends.

  • We require 14 days notice for cancellations, less a $10 service charge. All reservations cancelled with less than 14 days notice will be charged in full.

  • Must be at least 6 yrs old to enter mini-golf course.

  • Adult supervision is required to play mini-golf, use the playground or use other facilities like the nature park.

  • Leashed and attended pets are welcome if you have "pooper scoopers" and a bag.

  • Sorry, but no motorcycles are allowed.

Warren Fish Hatchery and Wildlife Center

Two small museums and several show pools (Trout) with a main hatchery building. Free admission. Located only 3 miles north of the campground along Route 25 in Warren.

The Legion Speedway

Dirt track racing every Saturday night during the summer, with reasonable admission prices. Nine (9) miles south along Route 25 at the Rumney / Wentworth town line.

Clark's Trading Post

Features include: Viewing tower for The Old Man of the Mountain, rides, a museum, a small turn of the century town with shops and a family of Black Bears. Approximately 18 miles northeast of the campground in North Woodstock.

The Whale's Tale Water Park

Features include: activity pools, wave pool, 360' figure 8 slide, tube rides, and more. Group rates and season passes are available. Approximately 25 miles northeast along Route 3 in North Lincoln.

Polar Caves Park

Caves and passages, maple sugar museum, mineral display and live animals. Located 10 miles south of the campground along Route 25 in Plymouth

Franconia Notch State Park

Features include: Flume Gorge, Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, Echo Lake, Profile Lake, and The Basin. Franconia Notch is 20 to 25 miles northeast along Interstate 93 in North Woodstock, Lincoln, and Franconia.

Rock Barn

Indoor rock climbing wall, equipment rentals and area rock climbing information. Located along Route 25 in Plymouth, approximately thirteen miles south of Swain Brook Campground.

Rock Climbing

Climb the sheer cliffs of Rattlesnake Mountain located in Rumney, New Hampshire. Several routes to choose from via Federal parking area. Approximately ten miles south from Swain Brook Campground, just off Route 25.

Appalachian Trail

The one and only! Located just 7 miles west of the campground along Route 25A.

Mt. Moosilauke

The last major mountain to the west, Mt. Moosilaouke, has an elevation of 4810' with a vertical rise over 2400'. Several trails lead to the summit, which offer great views of the Connecticut River Valley and the Presidential Mountain Range. Located in Glencliff and Benton, just a few towns north of Wentworth.

View & feed Red Deer/Elk while you enjoy peasceful surroundings. Call 603-764-9612 for hours. Located a few miles from the campground in Wentworth.
