Swain Brook Campground

 IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Reservations are recommended for Holiday weekends.

  • We require 14 days notice for cancellations, less a $10 service charge. All reservations cancelled with less than 14 days notice will be charged in full.

  • Must be at least 6 yrs old to enter mini-golf course.

  • Adult supervision is required to play mini-golf, use the playground or use other facilities like the nature park.

  • Leashed and attended pets are welcome if you have "pooper scoopers" and a bag.

  • Sorry, but no motorcycles are allowed.

Warm Water Lakes & Ponds:

Upper Baker Pond

Large Mouth Bass, Pickerel, Small Mouth Bass, Horned Pout. About 6 to 7 miles west of the campground just north of Route 25A in Orford. This pond is approximately 95 acres.

Lower Baker Pond

Large Mouth Bass, Pickerel, Small Mouth Bass, Horned Pout. Located just west of the campground in Wentworth and Orford along Route 25A. Lower Baker Pond contains 186 acres and has a sandy beach, which is visible from the state route.

Armington Lake

Small Mouth Bass, Pickerel, and Horned Pout. This lake is 142 acres and is located twelve miles north of the campground in Warren along Route 25C.

Tarleton Lake

Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Brook Trout, Lake Trout, Small Mouth Bass, Pickerel, Horned Pout. Approximately 10 miles north in Warren along 25C (315 acres).

Stinson Lake

Small Mouth Bass, Horned Pout, Pickerel, Brook/Lake/Rainbow Trout. This fishing area is in Rumney, a few miles east of Route 25. Stinson Lake contains approximately 350 acres.

Cold Water Lakes & Ponds:

Newfound Lake

Salmon, Lake Trout, Small Mouth Bass, Pickerel, Horned Pout, Brook Trout, White Fish. About 20 to 22 miles south, just off Route 3 in Hebron (4,106 acres).

Hildrath Dam

Rainbow, Brook and Brown Trout. This 37 acre pond is situated on Route 25 in Warren.

Wachipauka Pond

Brook Trout, Located north of the campground in Warren along the Appalachian Trail, just off Route 25 (22 acres).

Oliverian Pond

Brook Trout. Located north in Benton, along Route 25 (32 acres).

Streams & Rivers:

Baker River

Brown Trout, Brook Trout, and Rainbow Trout. Situated along Route 25 in Wentworth. Access is 2 miles from the campground.

Swain Brook

Brook Trout. Runs through Swain Brook Campground in Wentworth.

Oliverian Brook

Brook Trout. Situated at the base of the Oliverian Pond in Benton through Warren.

Stinson Brook

Brook Trout. Located by Stinson Lake in Rumney, just off Route 25.
