IMPORTANT NOTES
|
Swain Brook Campground's Mini-Golf Course is a nine hole championship course (par 68). You may be a scratch golfer, but that doesn't mean that you can make par here. We have ramps, multi-levels, blockers, rough patches and much more to thwart your play.
If you stay at the campground for a week or more, each registered camper 6 years or older receives a free token for 18 holes. Due to insurance regulations and the difficulty of the course, all children under 6 years are not allowed to play or pass the starter shack. Younger children are encouraged to use our 8000 square foot playground facility located just above the mini-golf course.
Course Highlights:
Hole # 1
Par 4 - Rating: 9
Run down the fairway 33' thru a small tunnel, rough patches and blockers to the lower green level. If you clear the lower level blockers, you will have a shot for eagle. Par usually takes the hole.
Hole # 2
Par 3 - Rating:6
Shoot the tee shot 12' down the fairway and jump the ramp to reach the green. If you are very lucky, you might stay on the upper level of the green and have an easy putt for birdie. If you hit the batting cage, you must take three strokes and drop the ball on the lower green level.
Hole # 3
Par 4 - Rating: 4
You must hit your drive through a middle archway and down two steps to reach a triangle blocker 24' from the tee. If the ball hits this blocker just right, you might have a shot for eagle. Par or birdie usually wins this hole.
Hole # 4
Par 3 - Rating: 8
Use the two corner blockers to reach the green on this double left dog-leg. The middle blockers protecting the green should stop you, but it is possible to reach it in one shot. Par usually ties the hole.
Hole # 5
Par 4 - Rating: 7
Similar to the fourth hole, the player must use two corner blockers on the tee shot to set up the second shot. With a little luck, the player will have a clear second shot through the middle blockers to set up a chance for birdie.
Hole # 6
Par 3 - Rating: 5
Avoid the lighthouse on the tee shot with the right ball pace and have a short shot for birdie. Get very lucky with the right angle and ball pace, and you might score a hole in 1.
Hole # 7
Par 6 - Rating: 1
Our hardest and most fun hole. Use the angle blocker in the fairway to set up your next shot at three tubes located on a small mound that take you to the lower level. If you miss, chances are you will roll back down and have to try again. The top tube on the left will take you past the lower fairway to the entrance of the green; the other two tubes will leave you with a long fairway shot to the green. Two over usually takes this hole.
Hole # 8
Par 4 - Rating: 3
Drive the short fairway on the tee shot, up and over the covered bridge to reach the green. If you miss the green on your first shot, you must drop on the green and are hitting five. If you choose not to try the bridge, you may drop on the green and are hitting three; this is recommended for younger children. Par or bogie usually wins the hole.
Hole # 9
Par3 - Rating: 2
Hit the angle blocker at the first corner on your tee shot to set up your chance for birdie. If you miss, chances are your ball will roll back since the cup is located in the middle of a moderate incline. It is not unusual for a beginner or a poor player to give up on this hole. If the ball rolls back far enough to reach the grounds of the hotel, the player must take three strokes and re-tee; sorry.
